System Management:

Paradigm Technology has been providing customers with IT System Management (SM) contract services for many years. These are specifically designed to complement traditional reactive hardware and software support contracts by introducing proactive management for your IT systems.

SM contracts are particularly suitable for small or medium size organisations, which historically would have relied on a staff member with some knowledge and an interest in IT to look after their IT infrastructure. However, as computing solutions become increasingly complex, many companies find it more efficient and economical to outsource their IT support and management to specialists such as Paradigm.

SM contracts provide a comprehensive “one stop shop” support service, covering aspects of systems and network operation not normally included in traditional maintenance agreements. These include:

1. Proactive Management & Monitoring.

Once an SM contract is in place, Paradigm will ensure that, at predetermined intervals, the following duties are carried out:

Anti-Virus updates
Backup / Restore tests
Network OS updates (Service Packs & Security Patches)
Firewall & Router updates (if applicable)
Management of Anti-Virus, Security and Backup Software
Monitoring of:
  Network Utilisation
Memory
CPU
Disk space
Log checks
 
These measures can allow our Engineers to identify potential network problems before they even occur.

Paradigm can also implement Remote Control for your Servers. This provides Remote access to your Severs allowing our Engineers to resolve certain problems in minutes rather than hours.

2. System Planning

Normally an SM contract includes a yearly review of all aspects of system operation in an orderly and proactive way. Paradigm technical staff reviews the operation and configuration of your systems components. They will then provide a report to senior personnel covering the current situation and any proposed enhancements, which could, enhance or optimise your IT related business procedures.

Furthermore, any PC’s, Laptop’s or printers supplied by Paradigm Technology will be installed FOC (excluding major upgrades).
